Summary

The #SistersInLaw get together for an emergency session to discuss the leak that Roe V. Wade will get overturned by the Supreme Court.  During it, they look at the role of stare decisis, and lay out the dangers of textualism and the extremism of the court’s conservative justices.  The ruling will be a giant step back for our rights and the Constitution, but as a silver lining, could it change the game going into the midterms?

unbelievable night. Barb, when I start with you.

Yeah, I'll just say this. It's a leak which you pointed out, which is very, very unusual

1:19.7

for the Supreme Court. They are usually absolutely leak proof. But this opinion does appear to be

1:26.3

a genuine draft opinion written by Justice Alito that is a complete rejection of Roe v Wade of the

casey case of the right to an abortion in the United States. I don't think we can overstate the

significance of this case. It is enormous. And I think not only does this abode ill for abortion
