We're going to move over to John chapter 19. And again, I'm covering these in the order that Jesus

said them on the cross. And we have four different gospels. We have Matthew, Mark, Luke,

and John. They're not four different stories. They're the same story or the same event covered from four different witnesses, two eyewitnesses,

one interviewed an eyewitness and one interviewed a whole plethora of eyewitnesses.

And in John chapter 19, verse 25, the Bible says, but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister

Mary the wife of Clopas and Mary Magdalene and when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he

loved that's John standing nearby Jesus said to his mother woman your son. And then he said to the disciple,

behold, your mother. And from that hour, the disciple took her to his own home. Here's what I want

you to try to get your mind around. First and foremost, can you even imagine what Mary is thinking

in this moment? I mean, come on, if you're a dad,

you remember what your wife did when you had your first kid? When that first kid is presented to

mama, the first thing they do is they kind of unwrap them if they've been wrapped up in that

little burrito cloth thing that they give you to keep them warm. And the first thing they do is

mamas go to the fingers, they go to the toes. They count them all up. One to keep them warm. And the first thing they do is mammas go to the fingers,

to the toes. One three four five. They smell those little tiny hands, those little tiny feet.

Mary is no different. When Jesus was born, I bet she grabbed him and she counted those toes and she

counted those fingers. And if you'll remember that an

angel warned her that she would be pierced through the heart and this is what the angel was talking
