Thanksgiving. This is the week for Thanksgiving in the States.

And as someone who calls this my favorite holiday,

I am thrilled to talk about 20 ways you can make your Thanksgiving a holiday that is

tailored precisely to what you and your family most enjoy. After all, the holidays are about comfort and

relaxing and celebrating. Why not make a simply luxurious Thanksgiving just for you and those you love?

Many holidays come with excessively high expectations.

Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve, even Christmas, or should I say especially Christmas, and some people

might argue that Thanksgiving should be put on that list as well.

But I dare to disagree.

After all, if the turkey doesn't turn out, there is typically access to alternative

sustenance options and there isn't a particular weather pattern that comes associated with

the season.

Much of the success or disappointment that comes with

Thanksgiving rests entirely on our own shoulders. As we are not hoping for a

particular president or behavior from anyone in particular, we also aren't going

to be disappointed if a Winter Wonderland doesn't present itself,

and we don't expect a secret admirer to Out of the Blue surprise us with an amorous gift.

Gratitude is the focal point, and that is something we each have absolute control over.
