dear friends of our show, the New York Times best-selling cookbook author Melissa Clark,

and Patti Hinnich, the host of the PBS television show, Patti's Mexican Table. We take

your cooking questions, we talk about the holidays, Passover, and Easter, and we try to keep finding ways to

help nourish ourselves through all of this. If you're a regular listener of our show, you

probably already know that Melissa Clark is one of our closest friends. She's the best-selling

author of the Dinner series of cookbooks, that's Dinner Changing the Game, Dinner in an

instance, and her latest is dinner in French.

She's also a cooking columnist from The New York Times, the host of our podcast Weeknight Kitchen,

and she is currently writing this out at home with three sacks of flour she got from a restaurant supply store.

Hey, Frances. It's hard, but, you know, we are hanging on.

Can I tell you something?

So, like, honestly, for my own emotional health right now, like, I have been keeping a pretty low news diet.

You know, I wanted to stay informed, but I'm trying not to obsess because it would be so

easy to obsess.

So I've got rules.

I've, you know, no news before bed.

I put my phone away before bed.

I, you know, if I'm working, I like don't click over to check, you know, the news.

But, you know, you work for a newspaper.
