It's like they're telling you right off the bat that sex crimes are like, especially

enthralling and thrilling to, yeah, because like every episode, you're going to get a cold

open, you're going to find a body with its eyes gouged it out on a little league field

when someone's walking their dog and there's going to be a victim, a special victim, and

then there's going to be a sicko.

And the sicko is going to get punished by the end of an hour of television.

I love, I love the preamble so much because it frames it like, oh, only in the criminal

justice system are like sex crimes considered especially heinous.

Yeah.

Like in the, in the broader society, it's just like, well, yeah, that should happen.

You know, you're going to find like my conception of New York City before I moved here was

just like, if you ever go to Central Park or you know, you take out your trash in the

meat packing district or something like you will find a dead hooker in the bushes.

That's what I love about, um, after about season 14, they got a little more artsy with

their opens and they show things from the perspective of the victim more, but it used

to be, it would be like, you know, scenes from New York.
