Hey everybody. As you know, Peter and I are on vacation. Peter, as you might know, is my executive

producer. And we recorded four new shows in advance to run while Peter takes his family

on their annual adventurous vacation out west.

So we have these four brand new shows we're playing while we're away, and we always pick a favorite to rerun during this vacation.

And this time it was a no-brainer. Today, we're playing my interview with Heather

McGee, the brilliant activist, a brilliant lawyer, former head of Demos. This is a stunning

interview about her book, The Some of Us. The Some of Us is about how Republicans have sold white people in this country,

the idea that it's a zero-sum game, that anything that helps people of color takes away from

them. And the opposite is true. We, you know, Paul Wilson said, we all do better when we all do

better. I mean no insult

to every other wonderful guests I've had. I just want to say that this is the best one we've done.

And you will get so much out of it, I promise. Now, before we go to Heather, I just want to remind folks that I'm starting the only

former U.S. Senator currently on tour tour on September 18th in North Hampton, Mass,

then over to Milwaukee, across to Minneapolis, down to Dallas, over to Atlanta,

up to Pittsburgh, then across the D.C., up to Albany, down and across to Kansas City, up to Chicago, down to St. Louis, over to Boulder,

then down to Austin, and then way up and across to Ithaca.

I'm going to end up at some point in Washington, D.C., our nation's capital, and New York City,

the big apple.

So exciting for all of you who live in those cities, and I think I left one or two out.
