| 0:00.0 | If you want to win your fantasy league, you need to be making moves before the rest of your league catches up. So today we're breaking down the seven wide receivers that you should be trading for before it's too late. These are guys that had fantastic roles in usage in week one, but the numbers just aren't backing it up yet. And we can start with a guy like Drake London, who was absolutely dominant in week one. And he's basically been absolutely dominant in the now four completed |
| 0:21.2 | games that he's got to play with his new quarterback Michael Penix. Let's check this out right here |
| 0:25.4 | if we go through this. RotoViz last year, according to their game splits tools, the final three |
| 0:29.5 | games of the season with Michael Penix, Drake London was averaging over 23 fantasy points per game, |
| 0:34.4 | 13 targets per game, and 117 yards per game, was by far top three in all these categories amongst all wide receivers. Okay, now you fast forward to this year, week one, a whole entire offseason to work with Michael Pennix, Drake London comes out, catches eight balls for 55 yards. Now, in terms of fantastic fantasy days, it's nothing elite. In a PPR format, it's 13 and a half fantasy points. It goes overshadowed by a lot of other guys who broke out like, I don't know, Keon Coleman and Sunday night football is Aflower Sunday night football right in these prime time games. But what's most important is that Drake London earned 15 targets from Michael Pennix in this game. The dude is now averaging over 14 targets per game in four career games with Michael Pennix. Just insane. And as you can see from Hayden Wings tweet over here on Twitter, week one wide receivers and expected fantasy points per game. This is based on the usage that they saw in their offense and their role. Based on the usage, Marquis Brown was number one in expected points per game. He was expected to score the most fantasy points is what this means. number two was Drake London. Drake London, we know his role was great. That's why for two straight years now in fantasy football, he's been a second round wide receiver fantasy pick, and a lot of you were able to get him in the late second round of your drafts, and based on week one, you should be happy. Now, I get it. He got banged up and he got a little bit of a boo-boo, which we'll talk about in a second, but check this out right here. He runs 83% of the routes. This was basically at 100% |
| 1:46.4 | until he left with injury. The big one, 30%. not a little bit of a boo-boo, which we'll talk about in a second. But check this out right here. He runs 83% of the routes. |
| 1:45.1 | This was basically at 100% until he left with injury. |
| 1:47.5 | The big one, 36% of the targets, one of the highest rates in all of week one. |
| 1:51.8 | Again, this led to 15 targets. |
| 1:53.7 | Eight catches, just 55 yards, though. |
| 1:56.0 | He didn't find the end zone either, where he had multiple opportunities very close to scoring, |
| 2:00.1 | not one but two touchdowns if he comes down with even one of those there's no way you're touching him in the trade markets but right now they're still an opening now as i mentioned drake london did leave with a he suffered a shoulder sprain and did not come back in he was quickly considered day to day as of monday a day after the game and then we did get some more reports recently right so drake london according to Deepak Chona over on Twitter, he says, reported day to day with an AC spring, suggests it's mild severity, average one to two weeks is what it takes to recover from, and he leads toward London playing in week one. We also got news on Wednesday to start the week, the practice window for players playing on Sunday. Well, Drake London is out there, so is Darno Mooney. So it looks like the falcons receivers at least to start the week are going to be playing in week two. Again, just keep a track of those practice reports. But maybe the fact that he could come into this game questionable. Maybe he only gets a limited participation in one of those games. It could lead to some uncertainty for the person in your league who has Drake London, maybe some fear. And maybe you can get him for a cheaper price than you normally would. Again, just a reminder, the Falcons threw 40 plus times in week one. It was a very offensively heavy game, and Drake London played 67 snaps. Now, of course, he left early, but he played the first 67 of 68 snaps. The guy came off the field for one snap, and a game where he played 67 snaps is absolutely insane. It shows you his stamina. He's ability to go out there for every single play. Once again, getting put in motion, getting put in the slot. This is a player who will continue to see double-digit targets probably maybe on a weekly basis at this point. So now if I pull up the fantasy calculator trade database, these are trades that are happening literally right now. As I record this, these are trades that have been happening. Drake London for Ash and Genti straight up. I mean, okay, whatever. They're both like second round picks and a lot of fantasy drafts. But here's where you can really get creative. Jacori-Kroski Merritt, all the hype in the world, had a touchdown this past week, or he had 10 carries 70 yards right. Everybody loves Chori cross kermarit i want drake london |
| 3:41.8 | dreg london versus joshakps is fair drake london versus kluas chikor is obviously just like a crazy trade drake london versus michael pitman like these are the trades that are happening in some leagues not serious leagues but pitman had a big week one i like pitman right now in fantasy give me drake london Drake London for Abuka. Give me Drake London all day long. I know Abuka had two touchdowns in week one, |
| 3:58.6 | the rookie that a lot of people including myself are high on. If he doesn't have me Drake London. Drake London for Abuka. Give me Drake London all day long. I know Abuka had two |
| 3:57.6 | touchdowns in week one, the rookie that a lot of people, including myself, are high on. If he doesn't have, like, in terms of usage, it wasn't the most overwhelmingly positive usage for Abuka. Sure, he found the end zone twice. London is a guy seeing 15 targets in a good offense as well. So try and trade for Drake London if you can. And then try and trade for Rashi Rice because it honestly is going to feel like cheating once he comes back. If you're watching this and you have |
| 4:16.8 | Rashi Rice on it honestly is going to feel like cheating once he comes back. |
| 4:15.8 | If you're watching this and you have Rashi Rice on your team, you took him in the fifth, sixth, seventh round of your fantasy draft and you're waiting those six weeks. Everything is perfectly playing out for you right now. Just a reminder of last year when Rashi Rice played three completed games and was healthy according to Nick over on Twitter, |
| 4:29.1 | 31.5% target share, |
| 4:31.0 | 35% of his team's air yards, |
| 4:32.6 | averaged eight catches, |
| 4:33.8 | 96 yards per game, 21 and a half fantasy points per game. I mean, this dude was an absolute beast. He was a top two fantasy receiver, and then he ends up getting injured, and then he ends up getting suspended. Everything has gone wrong for him since week four of last year when he got hurt. But man, oh man, are the Chiefs desperate to get this guy back literally as soon as possible because of Xavier Worthy on the third play of the game, getting taken out by his teammate Travis Kelsey in week one. And we also saw in week one that the Chief's rushing attack is not looking that good. Now maybe the Chargers end up being the best run defense in the NFL and that's why. But look, Isaiah Pco, five carries, 25 yards, Hunt, we know he has nothing left at this point, averaging just 3.2 yards |
| 5:08.6 | per carry. We'll see if the rookie Breschard Smith, the seventh rounder who played on the second snap of the game. He didn't play a lot of snaps in this game at all, but he played on the second snap in the game to start it. We'll see if he gets more involved, but right now, this |
