Summary

How to run your own race as a Teachers pay Teachers Top Seller

Hey there CEO Teacher friend! I want to take you back in time and, no, I'm not talking Marty-McFly-Back-to-the-Future in time, but instead I'm talking back to the Teachers Pay Teachers days of yore. Back then, Teachers pay Teachers top sellers could be listed on a coveted "top 100" list. Ahhhhhh yes -- each week, TpT sellers would break out their pencil and paper and take notes on where they stood in the Teachers pay teachers rankings. And once upon a time, I even watched my face slide from page 18 to page 1 on the Georgie list and, eventually, into the top 10 in the state. And let me tell you - I was relentless. I kept notes, dates, timelines, goals, and...you get the idea. Am I still competitive? Yes. Am I still obsessed about where I stand? Ew, no. Nor do I care. And a lot has changed for the Teachers pay Teachers top sellers list, also. A few years back, TpT decided to do away with their teachers pay teachers sellers list altogether. This decision left some people in a tizzy. Some people were happy. Some people were sad. Me? Well, I was indifferent. A year or so prior, I had already made the decision to to keep my head down and run my own race. And interestingly, the year I decided to stop fighting for first place on a silly leaderboard was about the same time my business hit a million dollars in just 10 months…
