The LA American Dream Story is only possible because of transplants.

That's what I'm talking about.

People who left their native city, state, or country

and ended up in LA to cultivate that dream.

A lot of the big names may not have came from LA, but they made it here.

Kobe Bryant, Tupac, Mickey Mouse, those are three that come to mind.

But what about not people?

What about transplants of a different kind? I'm talking about maybe brands, concepts,

maybe even places that are so indelibly linked to Los Angeles that it's hard to think of them as being from somewhere else.

I came up with seven of these that are so good, so fun, and so head-tiltingly, what? That's not from LA?
