Today we talk about off sites.

That sounds like the most boring topic ever, but I promise you it's not. It was my first off site and I learned a ton from it.

First takeaway from the off site and I just want to you know give a little bit of context quickly on what the off site was.

Nine o'clock to five o'clock. We had a Zoom

meeting with Morning Brew's senior leadership. There are nine of us where we

talked about the biggest issues as a company and also reflecting on our 90 day goals from the first quarter, but also thinking about our one year

plan moving forward. First takeaway. People say long meetings suck.

But my personal perspective from this meeting was long meetings don't suck.

Long ineffective disorganized meetings suck. If you can have an organized meeting that

focuses on the right things that has a clear agenda if it takes eight hours but

it is it is staying focused and it is staying relevant and important, then it was meant to take eight hours.

So I think long meetings are a cop-out for disorganized meetings that aren't run the right way.
