Hey everyone, welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory.

Today's video is part two of a four-part series,

while we'll be taking a closer look at the storylines left out of the Harry Potter films.

These are the subplots and storylines from the books that didn't make it to the big screen

due to time constraints. Apparently the upcoming Harry Potter HBO series,

which has the goal of creating faithful

adaptations of the novels, will allocate eight hours per season, with each season dedicated

to one book.

With that sort of a runtime, we should be hopeful that all of these secondary storylines

make it in.

Anyway, let's get into it.

Harry and Cho's date.

Harry and Cho share very little chemistry in the movies.

It feels weird, forced, and they don't appear to have any real connection.

It's also somewhat jarring, given that Harry's feelings for Cho intensify so soon after

Cedric's death, a character Harry deeply mourns and feels responsible for. Despite all of this, however,

Harry and Cho give it a go, and end up going on a date in a moment that was never seen in the

films. Prior to their date, the pair had shared an uncomfortable kiss under the mistletoe at

Christmas time, a moment that was completely overshadowed by Cho's clear emotional turmoil.

Because she felt guilt for moving on from Cedric, she ended up crying during their kiss.

However, they still decided to give the day to go.
