Before we go any further, I have to make it very clear for those who are new to the program.

I am not a cessationist, someone who believes the gifts of the spirit have ceased. So I'm not a cessationist standing here trying to teach you how to test the gift of prophecy. I am what is called a continuationist. I believe that the gifts of the spirit have continued. Right here in Ate Oklahoma,, where I live in my personal church, King's

Fellowship, we practice the gifts of the Spirit regularly and the gift of prophecy is among them.

We have a team of people who it's been clear that through our home groups and Bible studies

and encounter nights, they have a gift of prophecy where God speaks to them regularly. And we have them up front. And if someone

in the congregation is looking for direction, seeking counsel from the Lord, they can come up to this

group of people and ask for a prophetic word. And that group of people will pray. And Lord willing,

God will speak to them in order to encourage comfort and console an individual who's come up looking for direction.
