It is week 16. We're in the fantasy football semifinals. And to make sure you win this week and get to the championship, you have to start the right running backs.

0:06.8

So in this video, we're breaking down the five must start running backs who are not as obvious that I believe need to be in your lineups this week. If you want to get to your fantasy championship. And let's start with a rookie running back, a seventh round rookie, Kyle Menungai for the Bears. he's actually playing on a short week this week on Saturday night

0:19.6

against the Green Bay Packers, a team he just played a couple of weeks ago.

0:22.6

And look, Menungai, I'm getting a lot of questions about him. guy for the Bears. He's actually playing on a short week this week on Saturday night against the Green Bay Packers.

0:20.9

A team he just played a couple of weeks ago. And look, Manungai, I'm getting a lot of questions

0:24.5

about him. I normally have all season. He's in a split backfield on an offense that has been

0:28.1

up and down this year, so I get it. But I'm getting even more questions about him this week because,

0:32.1

I mean, he's coming off of a bad week. Week 15 was his worst performance in probably two months or so. 11 carries for just 33 yards.

0:37.9

Meanwhile, his backfield running mate, DeAndre Swift, had 98 rushing yards, had multiple touchdowns. You had Kyle Minangai seeing no receptions in this game as well. So it was kind of a flat performance. You probably started him last week. If you survived, then you started him in your fantasy playoffs or first round of your toilet bowl. He only got you three points. So you remember that and you go,

0:54.6

do I really want to put him back out there again?

0:56.4

Well, I'm here to say last week was a little bit of like an outlier. That was more so like the exception compared to the rule for what Kyle Monungai has been doing lately in this bear's offense. A bear's offense that is very much so lean towards the run, and I suspect it will only lean more towards are on with Luther Bird andne and banged up in Roma Dunezay likely out this upcoming week.

1:12.3

But Kyle Monongai, before this game, his eight previous games was averaging 12 and a half fantasy points per contest, 14 rush attempts per game, 70 rushing yards, and he had like six rushing touchdowns during this span. So I bring that up to say, if you're going to use recency bias from last week's bad performance, you got to at least use the eight weeks of recency bias as well before that, right, to give yourself a little bit more comfortability and trust putting Minungai back in your lineup this week because it's actually a good situation for it. If we pull up the draft king's odds right here, you will see that the bears are at home this week. They actually opened up as one point underdogs. Now they're one and a half point favorites against the Packers team that just lost Micah Parsons, right? Michael Parsons is done with a torn ACL. You can see the Ian Rappaport tweet right here. They also lost in this game plenty of other players. Evan Williams got banged up. We'll see his status, one of their star players on defense. Other players are dealing with some injuries. And if you want to see right here from Summer Sports, This is from Wendell Fierra over on Twitter, be sure to follow him in his work. You can see, he says the Packers defense with Micah Parsons this year. They have a 57% defense of success rate. EPA allowed is negative. So when he's on the field, they're not giving up points. He's been that good this year that if anything, they're actually forcing turnovers and fourth downs and negative yardage, he's been that good on defense and it makes sense. He's great. Well, when Micah Parsons has been off the field this season, which he will be the rest of the year, EPA per plate allowed is much higher. It's 0.07. Now, it's nothing insane, but this goes from one of the most elite defenses and defensive pass rushes with Michael Parsons on the field to one that you could actually

2:34.4

get yours against. And we just saw Kyle Monongai a couple of weeks ago against the Packers have a fine performance out of this backfield. And now he's going to get an even softer matchup at home as a favor. I mean, you saw it last week. Bo Nix probably had the best game of his career because Michael Parsons was basically out the entire second half and they put up 34 points against this Packers team. If you look at what the running backs we're doing in that game,

2:52.9

common unguai head or a Kamenongai, RJ Harvey had 65 yards on 19 carries on the ground. He added a couple of targets as well. So this is a nice spot for what I would consider a much more creative and better running game in Chicago compared to Sean Payton and the Broncos. So Kamenungai DeAndre, so if they're both starts for me this week, they're both flex options

3:10.2

to RB2s, and I think Monongai should be in your lineup. I also think Aaron Jones should be in your lineups this week. And this has been a guy who's kind of just like fallen by the wayside. Like he got hurt earlier in the season, right? That first month of the season, he gets hurt, he misses a month.

3:21.8

He comes back.

3:22.4

He's playing banged up.

3:23.3

He's leaving games early, similar to last year.

3:25.3

So he's kind of been quiet.

3:26.4

J.J. McCarthy takes over.

3:27.6

The offense stinks overall, right? So you haven't heard much about Aaron Jones. And he's even coming off of a game where it didn't look great. 12 carries, 34 yards. Average just 2.8 yards. Now, he did add three catches for 31 yards, which is the very interesting part of what his profile gives you in this Vikings offense that lately has been playing from behind likely

3:44.2

we'll be playing from behind. he catches for 31 yards, which is the very interesting part of what his profile gives you in this
