My big writing project for most of the summer has been working on the early general sketches for the outline of my portal fantasy

sequel Dreambreaker. General sketches are what I call the early part of the

outline where I'm just throwing ideas onto the page and brainstorming through

plot holes until I feel like I have a cohesive story.

I finished general sketches this week, which means I now get to progress to the next step.

Character Interviews. This is always one of my favorite parts of the process.

I love diving into my characters and really getting to know them using the 100 plus

question interview that I've curated over the years and which by the way you can find in my free

I don't have quite as many characters to interview this time around since a dreambreaker is the sequel to a Dreamlander and I of course did interviews for all the main characters the first time around

But I'm getting to explore some of the new additions to the cast which is really fun.
