It was a day long feared in the capital.

As bombs exploded across London subway system, there were scenes reminiscent of New York on 9-11.

At 10 o'clock in the morning on the 7th of July 2005, the authorities in London stood surveying the wreckage of the UK's deadliest ever terror attack.

There could be suicide bombers. We'd never had suicide bombers in the United Kingdom before.
