Hey, congratulations real quick to Leonard Hamilton, honored as the Joe Lapic character award winner

recipient I should say, this year he is one of the four recipients of this year's Joe Lapic character

award given annually to people who make the biggest impact on and off the basketball court.

A lot of great names that have been honored previously, John Thompson from Georgetown, Tennessee's

Pat Summit, Dean Smith, unfortunately coach K, but there you go, what did you say?

So it is, an F issues all time winning his coach, joins some other legends on the hardwood as

a winner of this character award and it's not surprising, good for you coach, good for

you.

Saw him at this year's basketball camp and man he was spirited as ever despite being

a little banged up, little hip surgery, man, yeah, he's had a lot, man, the Achilles, the

hip, the whole deal, he was funny when I asked him about it because he had a little cane

and you know that eats at his pride, he's like a little bit longer with his thing, I was

like, how are you doing, it's a bit much, it was a bit much to have to go through the Achilles

and the hip all the same year, I'm like, dammit, yeah, that is a bit much, but two seconds

later he was cracking a joke and talking about how fun it was to watch kids play basketball,
