Hello, prayers of rest listeners. It's Asherita here with a season wrap up of praying God's

promises. That's season seven of the prayers of rest podcast. Wow, I can't believe we are

already seven seasons into this prayer podcast.

Honestly, when we started those live prayer calls in March of 2020 on the floor of my closet,

I couldn't even imagine that we would be here.

And yet here we are two years later, over two and a half years later now, seven seasons

in over 250,000 downloads around the world. That's 250,000 prayers that we get to just come together through this podcast, unite our hearts,

come and pray God's word, rest in his presence together.

What an incredible privilege that is.

Thank you so much for being a part of this movement of resting

in prayer, resting in God's presence. This season, we prayed through 10 different promises

of God that God promises to listen to our prayers. He promises to always love us,

to always be with us, to fulfill his plans for us, to protect us from evil, to empower us with

his own spiritual power. He promises us victory over suffering, and he promises that Jesus will return soon. He promises that he will

once again dwell with us. What an incredible rich heritage we have that we get to claim those promises. And I was at a conference this fall and heard

Johnny Erickson Tata share on this theme of praying God's promises. And she was saying that it's not

enough to just put these promises on a mug or a t-shirt.

It's not just that we decorate our homes with God's promises.

It's that we pray them and we claim them and we live them.

It's that we renew our minds, believing that this is true that if God promises to listen to our minds, believing that this is true, that if God promises to listen to our prayers,

that we believe that that is who he is, that that says something about his character,

and that changes how we engage in the hard things in life.
