0:07.3	testimony from a former Trump White House A. The January 6th committee has just subpoenaed
0:12.8	former Trump White House counsel Pat Sepelone to compel him to testify.
0:18.7	He's long been considered a key witness by the committee, but he's resisted speaking
0:22.9	further with the panel after sitting for a closed door interview back in April.
0:27.7	The committee claims its investigation has revealed evidence, Sepelone repeatedly raised
0:33.3	legal and other concerns about then President Trump's activities on January 6th, 2021,
0:40.5	and in the days that preceded it.
0:42.8	And needs to hear from him on the record as they note other former White House councils
0:48.9	have done in other congressional investigations.
0:52.3	There are, of course, privilege arguments about him coming forward and testifying about
0:57.0	exchanges with a then-sitting president of the United States who was ostensibly his client,
1:02.1	so it's unclear whether he will comply with his subpoena.
1:06.1	But tonight, a lawyer familiar with Sepelone's thinking tells CNN he will probably agree
1:11.7	to a transcribed interview, limited to specific topics to avoid the attorney-client privilege
1:18.2	issues.
1:19.2	The question of whether his testimony would be recorded or live is another issue that would
1:24.3	need to be worked out.
