A note of thanks from Mr. Biden.

I'm Paul Stevens, Fox News.

President Biden, observing Thanksgiving today with a usual family trip to Nantucket

in Massachusetts while there.

He stopped by a firehouse to thank first responders for their work,

and he told reporters what he's thankful for.

Thankful for my family.

I'm thankful for peaceful transition in the presidency, and I'm thankful for the

fact that I think with the grace of God, the good of the neighbors. We're going to get some more progress

in the Middle East. He also said he does hope President-elect Trump re-thinks the idea of possible

tariffs on some Canadian and Mexican imported goods.

The annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade took place this morning in New York City.

It was a windy and wet one.

Three million lining the city streets to watch.

As we see our favorite characters become larger than life, one of the six new floats this year, my personal favorite, Minnie Mouse,

get this. She is 60 feet tall. That's taller than a five-story building and she needs 90 balloon

handlers. There's also Marshall from Paw Patrol. This parade first debuted 100 years ago in 1924.

And then four years later, balloons were introduced because apparently

the live animals were scaring the children.

A lot of people, of course, on the road, they record 71.7 million folks expected to travel

by car over the holiday period.
