Organizing the team. I'm Jane Fergus, Fox News. The process of filling cabinet positions in the second Trump administration is well underway. Fox's Lucas Tomlinson is in West Palm Beach, Florida. With a Republican majority coming to the Senate, President-elect Trump should have no problem getting his picks for the cabinet confirmed.

We'll let the handicapping begin. Let's start with Secretary of State, Florida, Center Marco Rubio and Tennessee Center, Bill Haggertie, who is Donald Trump's ambassador to Japan.

And Rick Grinnell, or the leading candidates, of course, Grinnell, Trump's ambassador to Germany and former acting Director of National Intelligence.

For Defense Secretary, we have the three mics, Mike Pompeo, Mike Walts, both U.S. Army veterans, of course.

For DHS Secretary, we have Chad Wolf and Tom Holman.

And for Attorney General Senator Mike Lee, Ken Paxton.

Lastly, Doug Bergam is Energy Secretary.

And in California, several races there that will decide the balance of power in the House of Representatives are still too close to call.

Fox's Christina Coleman reports.

These key contests will help determine who has the majority in the House.

Republicans are confident they will keep control of it.

Both parties need at least 218 seats to win the House.

Right now, Republicans have 212 seats and the Democrats have 200.

And one of California's hyper-competitive races, Democratic State Senator Dave Men, is competing with Republican businessman, Scott Baugh, to fill House Representative Katie Porter's open scene in Orange

County. There's two competitive house races in Orange County right now. It's historically a Republican

stronghold in this deep blue state. Here in California, it could be days before we know who won

these close house races since Mellon ballots postmarked by Election Day are allowed to arrive up

until a week after the election.

And notably, multiple solidly blue districts in California turned red this election cycle.
