DA George Kaskin recommending life without parole be removed in the case of

Lyle and Eric Menendez. The brothers convicted in

the 1989 murders of the parents. Gascon says the brothers will be sentenced

for murder but with one major change. Because there were two murders involved,

that would be 50 years to life.

However, because of their age under the law,

since they were under 26 years of age.

At the time that this crimes occurred,

they will be eligible for parole immediately.

The Menendez brothers have already served 34 years in prison.

They admitted to the killings, they say they were afraid of their parents that they were

about to kill them to keep people from finding out that Jose Menendez had sexually abused Eric Menendez for years. The owner and manager of the cargo ship

they caused the Baltimore Bridge Collapse have agreed to pay more than $100 million to settle a lawsuit brought by the Justice Department.

The DOJ says the electrical and mechanical systems on the ship were improperly maintained

causing it to lose power and veer off course before hitting a support column on the

Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore in March. Vice President Harris at the
