Speaking on Fox's kavuto live, Lucy County Sheriff Keith Pearson says there's no let up in trying to get life

back to something close to normal.

Last night we had over a million square feet of blue tarps delivered to that site there in Spanish

lakes and 55 miles of rope

within an hour and a half of this storm or these tornadoes touching down

Governor Ron DeSantis set down over a hundred National Guardsmen and Search and

Rescue Teams and we had boots on the ground

within two hours of those touching down going through it and we worked through the storm and we're going to continue to work.

At least 17 people were killed during Hurricane Milton.

Residents near the St. Johns River and Lake Monroe,

northeast of Orlando are bracing for flooding in the aftermath of Helena,

Esther Bauer of Fox Orlando.

All across Central Florida streets and neighborhoods are underwater.

Now people are worried because this is what they dealt with during the last hurricanes.

As the small creeks and rivers flush the flood water out.

That flood water is pushed into the St. John's River, causing the lakes within the

St. John's system to flood by the end of next week.

Homeowners are doing what they can to save their homes.

The city of Sanford is also trying to stop Lake Monroe from flooding the downtown

Sanford Marina with two Tiger dams.
