provide more secret service for presidential candidates.

The bipartisan bill that would give former President Trump, Vice President

Harris, and major presidential candidates the same level of protection as the

sitting president passed unanimously. How many more assassination attempts need to happen?

New York Democrat Richie Torres was one of the bill's authors and says the issue transcends

partisan politics.

The bill now needs to pass the Senate.

Republican Congresswoman Aaron Halchin of Indiana introduced legislation this week

that would provide a way to pay for additional secret service resources.
