Summary

Happy Monday, everybody. This week, Tyler and I are getting into lockers β€” specifically, which locker is actually best for the situation you’re in. We covered the basics back in episode 460, so if you’re brand new to this stuff, go check that one out first. Today we’re going deeper: we ran through the main use cases β€” mud, sand, snow, rock crawling, high-speed Baja-style, and more β€” and debated which locker type wins in each one.

We covered all six categories: open diff, limited slip/Posi-Trac, mechanical auto-lockers (Detroit, Grizzly), slow-speed selectables (e-lockers, OX), high-speed selectables (air lockers like ARB), and spools/welded diffs. It got a little heated on the mud section right out of the gate, which is why we just started recording. You’ll hear it.

A few things we covered this week before the main discussion: https://www.snailtrail4x4.com/460-lockers/

**Gift Box Month** β€” April is gift box month. You’ve got until April 30th to get in, upgrade your tier, or get out. We’re not giving refunds after the month closes, so now’s the time. Sign up over at irate4x4.com.

**Monthly Giveaway** β€” This month, we’re giving away two gift boxes. Same items everyone else is getting β€” but you’d want duplicates of this stuff, trust me. Leave a review on Apple Podcasts to enter.

**Reviews** β€” Every 50 reviews, we give away an Onyx Elite membership and a swag pack. Once we hit 900 reviews, the next grand prize is a $1,000+ MORRFlate package β€” and yes, we’re planning to include the new project in that one. More on that soon.
