A review of Norwegian Encore this week. Yeah, a ship that was launched in late 2019, was only in service for a couple of months, and then the shutdown happened.

So Mark's here to talk all about his sailing on Norwegian Encore here in just a couple of moments.

But first, staff writer Richard Sims has Cruise News. Hey, Richard. Hey, Doug. I hear the bird singing, so it must be a great day, huh? It is a beautiful day here in Woodstock. And a good day for cruise news, too. And boy, do we have a lot of it. So the first one here, two more cruise ships return to service. And I know we've been talking about cruise ships returning

for, well, since the restart, but why are these two a big deal? Because this is like when you

have finally gotten the final piece of a puzzle. So Carnival Splendor set sail out of Alaska,

and Norwegian Spirit set out of Tahiti. Now, those are two different cruise lines, but what do they

have in common?

With these two ships sailing, they both have their entire fleets returning. So at long last,

for the first time, since the shutdown, both Carnival and Norwegian have, you know, all of their ships are out there. They're not all sailing at full capacity, so we're not completely back out of the woods yet,

but we do have all the ships back.

And, you know, this is a big deal because we kept thinking that it was going to happen sooner than it did,

but we finally, you know, they said they hoped to have them back by spring.
