Today we're going to cover, as we do every day or every week, Six minor league players who have been recently promoted, still have rookie status.

Maybe down the road I'll be doing some retropectives to take a look at a guy,

a couple of guys that have been in the league for a couple of years and then go back and review them and see how they're doing versus what we thought they were new as they were

going through the miners.

But anyway, we've got Nick Madrigal, Andre Jimenez with the Mets, Randy Orozarina, who seems

to be red-hot, Jose Marmal. Marmalahos.

I know I'd get it.

Marmalahos with Seattle.

J.D. Brubaker with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Brady Singer with the Kansas City Royal.

So four hitters, two pitchers.

Let's get into it with Mr. Madrigal.

So I've talked about Nick Madrigal a lot coming into the season after he was drafted.

And it was more not for what I thought he was going to do, it would be like a stud performer.

But once he made it to the big leagues, it was actually more of a unicorn. So let me let me tell you what I meant by that.

One is he rarely strikes out. He's got good speed, but he has absolutely no power. And my question

has always been, can a guy like that carve out a major

league career? You could do that back in the 70s, maybe even the 80s during the speed era,

but can you do that during the power era in which we find ourselves in now? So I've been curious.

That's why I think he's a bit of a unicorn.

And I think based on what we're seeing, I think you're seeing now what I saw as he was coming
