I am a woman of a certain age, and I came of age between integration and black power.

At the time, integration was offered as the solution to America's race problem.

Integration would help white see black people as individual human beings instead of outrageous stereotypes.

With assimilation, we'd live in the colors of Benitton America as harmonious as a

Coca-Cola ad. I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. Today on the show, comedian and entertainer Rhonda Hansom
