Alonzo? Of our meeting, meeting the deadline pre-Oscar show. Well, okay, so here's what happened.

My name, first of all, is Dave White. I'm Alonzo Duraldi. We are both film critics and we have been doing this podcast for

15 years. And somehow this year, I just decided suddenly after over a decade of caring about 75%

that I was going to watch as many of the nominated films as possible.

Unfortunately, for me, what that meant was I had a lot of catching up to do because I had ignored a lot of things.

Or was just late.

You were doing this the way I wrote term papers in college.

We kept doing Laolium Knife and other things would just get in the way, other films.

And I'd be like, you know what?

I'll get to sentimental value.

And here, you know what I know, you know what it is?

It's two things.

It's the glut of films at the end of the year that piles on top of you like, like, like,

like a giant tackle, you know, like seven people piling on top of you once.
