She came on the podcast a while ago and recorded this and I keep putting it off because

something keeps coming up and when I listened back to it this week I realized I wish I

would have got it out sooner. She was initially misdiagnosed with type 2 diabetes which means as an adult she has right now latent

autoimmune diabetes L. A. A. And I know that might not be something that you think

has a lot to do with your life and maybe like oh I can

skip this episode it's not really about me but Carolyn's life is I mean this

girl has had her lion's share of things go wrong for her, and it's, I almost, I actually

guess I did laugh once or twice while we were talking because I half expected like a meteor

to fall on her or should get by a car in her living room. I mean just

one thing after another went wrong for this poor girl and she has a really

fantastic attitude and is doing really great. So you know it's a little look at a different side of diabetes,

but it's in the end it's a conversation with a person who's trying to learn how to use

insulin and trying to figure out their life with this disease.

So I think it's well worth your time.

Okay, so I'm Carolyn and I was diagnosed last July. As a kid, I kind of always been sickly,

I got lots of strep throat ear infections. Things got a little bit better when I was in high school and I was a lot more active.

I got into college and started getting like skin type infections because I was around a bunch of people I didn't know.

And then got married and some of that stuff started coming back, got more sick, and then eventually ended up getting these stomach

pains that I had when I was in middle school.
