Welcome back to the place we find ourselves podcast. I'm Adam Young and my guest today is Susan

Cunningham, who also goes by Sue. She is a therapist and spiritual director who lives in California.

Today, Sue shares one of the most formative stories of her life. It's a story about a first grade girl

who decided to use her voice. Your voice is one of the parts of you that is most frequently

targeted by evil, and such has certainly been the case for Susan. Thank you for listening to my

it's good to see you. Thanks. Great to see you too. Tell our listeners a little bit about you

and where you are geographically. I am in the Central Valley of California. I am a counselor,

psychotherapist, life and soul coach, and a spiritual director. So let's talk a little bit about

your story. When did you learn that you even had a story? What was your kind of entrance into this

journey? I have always known I have a story. I always knew that I was part of people who had a story

that was very dramatic and very powerful. What I didn't know is that my story mattered.

Or if my story was interesting enough or important enough. And tell us a little bit about your
