| 1:00.7 | I got to tell you, we met this guy in Baltimore, and this is the MyLar guy. And to, what is it, Vince? |
| 1:06.2 | MyLites. Yeah, MyLite. Their product line is called MyLites. And it's Vince, right, up in Pennsylvania on the forum. And it was only like two weeks before the convention he was preaching about Milars. And I'm like, no, no, my Lars. And I went to the convention and have a booth. And they're like, here, take a sample, take a sample. |
| 1:43.6 | And I was talking to the guy for a while. I said, I got to tell you, I don't, you know, they're all crinkly. He says, well, we used to be crinkly. They used to have one mil mil miles and they're very crinkly. And he said, you know what? People hate him. We all complaints about them all the time. He took one. He crumpled his hand. It was all crinkly. |
| 2:00.9 | Made hell of a lot of noise. And he just threw it over his shoulder. He's like, these suck. We just came out with new. It's like one and a half mill mile hours. And they were thin, but they were not. They were a little crinkly, but they're not anywhere close to that one-mill crinkly stuff. And Shane's standing there, and we're hearing his spiel about how they protect for life, |
| 2:05.6 | and they never yellow comics. |
| 2:07.2 | And he has an example of books that were put in, like, six years ago in a regular bag, |
| 2:11.1 | and in a mylar. |
| 2:12.4 | And mylar is crystal white, and the poly bag is all yellowed and everything. And I'm, oh boy and then he's showing us the thicker ones, the two mill and the four mill. And it's like you can't bend it with a Sherman tank, you know, it's so stiff and it's like, oh. Oh, the four million. So Shane and I both ended up buying the two mill ones and I'm like, I'm putting my in my Lars, because they're so, it just, they look so nice, they're crystal clear, you know, it's just like, I'm not going to go nuts, like Vince buys them for every one of his books, but I'm just going to do, like, my favorite run grew, but they're nice products. I'd like to say I'm only going to stick with Justice League, but I'm going to start filtering backwards slowly. You know, eventually. My first order is going to be probably 500 or so. You've never been the king of self-controlled. No, no, no. But also, I'm like 150 issues behind because I ran out of bags and boards before. So, you know, if I'm going to start, I'll just start now and just every now and then just get 100 here, to 100 there and just slowly do it. Not going to go crazy doing all, you know, 5,000 at one shot. Just slowly but surely get it all done over time. Yeah, I have to admit they do. I saw it. You were tempted for your tight. You were even talking about maybe for your Titans run. And for me, like, I hope one of my boys takes an interest in comics to take over this collection at some point. And these things protect for like 100 years. I mean, you know, it's great. And we did talk about on the show how about every so often you have to go and replace all your bags and borrow, at least your bags. And I'm well overdue for my stuff from when i did it back in 93 right yeah you if you spend a little extra at once and and i'm not pimping them just because they're paying us i'm pimping them because i like i'm can after 10 minutes of talking to that guy i was completely sold on the fact that i need to put some of my books in my lars i'm going to start with justice League and some of the current stuff that I don't have bagged and then just go backwards from there eventually. And DCBS carries my lights too. And in fact, you can get your monthly books in my lights. It's 50 cents a pop versus 10 cents for the regular books. For the regular bags. But you don't even need a board for these, right? Not really. |
| 4:14.4 | Especially if you got the 4-mill, you would not need a board because they're so stiff. |
| 4:18.6 | And that's one thing he said that, don't let anybody tell you different. |
