It's so funny the way that you're starting out the conversation

because the thing I had in front of you is a news article. Johnny Depp looks unrecognizable in a new

Christmas Carol photos. Glad we're keeping things on the issues that matter. I bring this up because

we did talk about a Christmas Carol in our recent episode on Groundhog Day. And I had to check that this

was real. Like Johnny Depp is apparently going to be in a fucking like adaptation of a Christmas

Carol that I guess is like a Netflix thing. No, no. It's this is really important. It's a

Paramount production. It's called Ebenezer, a Christmas Carol? Yeah, it's directed by Ty West, who did

X and Maxine and all those movies. But no, more importantly, it's a production of Paramount

Pictures, which, as you know, has taken a bit of a right-wing turn of late. I think we can

interpret this, you know, Johnny Depp's first studio job in many, many years as being broadly

in keeping with the company's anti-woke turn, you know? And I just think it's great because

haven't you missed Johnny Depp in movies? So many great roles, you know, the last 15, 20 years,

the lone ranger, Mordecai. But I love it, you know. You know, what about him, Johnny Depp, is you may say, you know, cancel culture is run amok. You may say he was unfairly persecuted. You may say whatever you want. Well, you can't deny us. He has kept his looks. He has kept his talent.
