In it, we'll see that David poetically describes a storm, but he's doing more than just observing the power of nature. 0:00.0	Well, it was for me a Psalm 29 moment.
0:04.5	I sat on the porch of the main building of a camp in western Pennsylvania on a summer day and watched an amazing storm come in.
0:18.4	The camp was 90 acres nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains. You could hear the
0:25.7	distant thunder. I love storms, so I couldn't resist staying on the porch. And I watched the wall of rain begin to come in and the lightning get closer.
0:43.2	The distance in time between the flashes of lightning and the sound of the thunder got nearer and nearer.
0:52.5	Pretty soon that thunder was shaking the porch and I'm sure breaking the trees on the hills.
1:05.1	No, I didn't go inside. Nothing could have made me go inside. And I there and what was in my my mind as i felt the shaking
1:17.0	inside of my chest was this is but a meager picture of the glory of god. That's Psalm 29.
1:30.7	A Psalm surely written by David in a storm.
1:35.0	In a poetic way,
1:36.0	does a great job of capturing the power of a storm.
1:42.6	But that storm immediately makes David reflect on the voice of God, the glory of God,
1:53.6	the presence of God, because a storm is really a finger pointing to a God of glory.
2:05.9	Let me read again for you, Psalm 29.
2:11.4	Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, subscribe to the Lord, glory and strength.
2:16.5	Ascribe to the Lord the glory who do his name, worship the Lord
2:20.2	and the splendor of holiness. The voice of the Lord is over the waters. The God of glory thunders.
2:29.5	The Lord over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord
2:37.7	breaks the cedars. The Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon skip like a calf,
2:45.8	and Syrian like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire. The voice the Lord shakes the
2:55.9	wilderness. The Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice the Lord makes the deer give birth and
3:02.9	strips the forest bare, and in his temple all cry, glory. The Lord sits enthroned over the flood. The Lord sits
