but that's okay. I've got a friend here with me today. Welcome back to the show, Ian Bird.

Hello, David. How are you doing? Excellent. Steven is working really hard on St. Jude's stuff this

week and I told him to take the week off. Do that. That's more important. And when we discuss

that, I thought, you know who I'd love to have on to catch up with is Ian Bird. You're one of my

favorite guests, Ian. I have to do it. Don't tell me. I'm honored to be on. Ian and I, we both were

in Orange County for a while, but now you're up in Portland. Ian is a teacher. He specialized in

teaching gifted children. And from there, he went on to form a business where he teaches teachers

how to teach gifted children. That was a lot of teaching there, Ian. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.

Well, I've actually moved out to Astoria, Oregon now. Wait a second. Is that where they did the

goonies? Yeah. The goonies, short circuit, kindergarten, car. There's a surprising number of movies

filmed in the small town. I love that goonies movie so much when I was a kid. I think, do you have a

couch or something here? And is it okay if I just show up one day? I need to get up there and see

the goonies. Don't they do like a thing every year for the goonies too? Well, the big thing is they

just somebody knew just bought the house where the movie starts. Yeah. And for a long time, the person

who owned it did not appreciate the attention. Sure. And it was like really hard to. It is like

on a residential street and it's not really a good tourist spot. But yeah, so there's a new person

now who I guess is excited to make it more fan-friendly. I had a trial once. It was like 10 minutes

away from the ET house. Oh, yeah. Because that's like on the internet. And I thought so often about

just driving past it one day after court. And I never could bring myself to do it because I thought

it was just a little bit too creepy, you know. Yeah. Yeah. When someone's actually living there,
