When you roam around England looking at lovely gardens, be sure to visit where

Wordsworth lived in the Lake District. There are some fantastic gardens there and

it's not far from where he wandered lonely as a cloud and saw the decadels.

Coming up friends from England share their enthusiasm for English country

gardens. Katie Marin started a traditional kitchen garden in her back yard in

Connecticut. There has been something particularly satisfying about pulling

vegetables out of the ground and then enjoying them that evening.

She tells us how learning to garden has helped her get through difficult

times and physicist Alan Lightman suggests our brains need a little

vacation to help our creativity bloom. There really isn't as much time

for play as there used to be so I think that our children are suffering as well

as adults by the frantic pace of life that we lead. Take a break with us for the
