Welcome back to old-time radio, mystery, suspense, and horror.

So glad, as always, that you are here. I want to kick off your October of

2022 with a good old-fashioned Sherlock Holmes Mystery. CBS Radio Mystery Theater did several

adaptations of the classic Sherlock Holmes stories written by Sir Arthur

Conan Doyle. And this is one of them. The title of this one is The Adventure of the Red

Headed League. Real quick, before we get into this one, be sure to check out my other two

podcasts, Old Time Radio, Comedy, and Superman Radio. All right, so today's Sherlock Holmes

plays Kevin McCarthy as Charlotte Holmes and Court Benson as Dr. Watson.

These two actors typically portrayed the characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson

for the CBS Radio Mystery Theater when they did Sherlock Holmes adaptations. Also, keep an eye out during the middle of the play,

E.G. Marshall makes a reference to the shadow. So I think that's pretty cool. All right, so this was

episode number 641 of CBS Radio Mystery Theater.

And it first aired April 26th of 1977.

It had a repeat airing on September 10th of 1977 and a repeat airing on August 18th of 1979.
