THE LIE- it's bad to love yourself because if you do it will distract you from taking care of and thinking about others.

Want to learn how to truly love others in a HEALTHY unconditional way?

Start by LOVING yourself.

Self-love isn't self-obsessed...it's actually quite the opposite. It actually opens you up and empowers you TO love others more fully❤️.

February we are exploring the TRANSFORMING power of our loving thoughts which affects how we show up as a leader, and as a mom, in how we view and treat our physical bodies, how we RECEIVE, and how we can create what once seemed impossible because love and loving thoughts CHANGES everything!!!!

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

Matthew 22:37-39.

Okay, so I'm going to debunk a lie.

0:16.3

I love like how many people think about things differently because this has helped me

0:20.1

think about things differently. The lie is that it's bad for you to love yourself because it will then

0:25.8

distract you from taking care of and thinking about others. Okay. So if you, this goes back to,

0:32.5

let me go back to the verse. Okay, Matthew 22, 37 through 39. Jesus replied, love your neighbor. Excuse me. Sorry.

0:40.5

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind.

0:46.0

This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is this. Love your neighbor as yourself.

0:52.7

Okay, y'all. Love your neighbor as yourself. We cannot just stop like flying past

0:58.5

this. Okay. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. He is talking to us assuming that we love

1:05.2

ourselves because when we come into agreement with how God loves us, we love ourselves. We have this wholeness about us.

1:13.1

We have this, this, this, this era about us that's unoffendable because we know that we know that we know that we know that we know that we know that we know that we know that we are loved.

1:24.1

And when we know that we are loved, we can easier and more fully and we can love other people

1:34.4

because we're not always worried about what they're going to think about us or if we're doing

1:38.6

the right thing or not doing that thing. Okay, so let me go back to the lie. So a lie that most

1:42.9

people believe that is that it's bad for you to love yourself.

1:45.3

Because if you spend time or you do that, if you actually love yourself, then it will distract you from taking care of and thinking about others.

1:54.2

Right. But if you want to learn how to truly love others in a healthy, unconditional way, we've got to start by loving ourselves.

2:08.7

If you really think about it, self-love isn't self-obsessed or is worried like, well, if we, someone loves

2:16.0

themselves, they're going to be so self-obsessed and only think about them.

2:19.3

Now, I really think the opposite is true.
