Some years back I decided to hunt geese in early May of 2008.

The weather was great and the birds were flying.

After work I tracked overland to the tundra passing Pilcher Mountain and over into the

lakes and marshes by snow machine.

There was very little snow due to the warm weather.

After packing snacks I headed at alone.

On arrival at my hunting area I noticed a fellow hunter and decided to build a hunting

blind not too far from him.

Hours passed and the wind picked up which drove the waterfowl to fly higher.

Finally, it was nearing 10 pm and my hunting buddy decided to head home.
