So, um, the origin of the MSPH opening theme is when I was working on Geek Time, the RIP to Ralph Serilla hosted show on Howard Stern's channels that did like a contest where we were looking for like an opening theme and

You know being that I loosely worked on the show I got to take a listen to all of them and sort of put my vote in and that one got sent in and I was like I think that one kicks ass there's no like annoying kooky lyrics. It sounds kind of like nerdy and electronic and then you know

obviously I got outvoted and then launched MSPH shortly after and I reached out to Tom Merriman, the guy who made the

theme and asked him if we could use it. And he was like, yeah, go for it. And it has been used in I think every single one of the 675 episodes we've done.

So there you go. It doesn't have an official theme. It just said theme, Tom Merriman, in the file when he sent it in.
