The Backwood seemed to be more popular than ever.

I'm a park ranger who's seen my fair share of horrible things.

Some were along the line being a park ranger became a lot more complicated than writing

around in a truck giving people directions and checking fishing licenses.

I can point to one event that started me down the road to losing my naivety to becoming

something more.

I never used to believe in cryptids, bigfoot, the lockness, monster, skim walkers and all

that stuff.

There were just things of dreams, creepypastas and things that salesmen looking to cash in

on those who didn't know any better.

At the time, I was working at a park with beautiful mountains and rivers and lakes to enjoy.

The park itself was massive miles upon miles of forest separated by single roads running

through the middle.

It was a hiker's dream and a ranger's nightmare.
