Happy Halloween everybody!

It is episode number 671 today.

My guest is my good friend Neil Francis.

He returns to the show and I just spent two months on the road with him and his band

in the Marcus King band and Ashland Craft.

We have wound down the tour and I am home.

It is the first couple of days of sitting in my house and it is a strange thing.

Strange thing when you get off tour.

Neil has been home for two days and then immediately started a European tour and I am going

to tell you right now if you live over in the UK, go see this man immediately on tour.

What I was going to say is this weird thing about touring where when you first get on it

you are kind of like it reminds me of when I was young going to summer camp, your homesick,

your missing your friends, your missing your animals, dirty, dirty.

Then you kind of get conditioned and you get into this mode and this vibe of like this

is what I have always wanted to do and then you start to enjoy it and then a couple months

go by and it ends and then you step off back into real life and you are like fuck.

You know like I drove my car today and I was just like this is weird running errands.

You don't run errands when you are on tour.

You just kind of have a tour manager and other people hand in you room keys, here is where

you are sleeping and here is your food and everything is just geared around doing the art

and it is a beautiful thing and it is sad when it comes to an end and I miss everybody
