With that out of the way, on to the episode.

The topic of rearmament in France is a tricky subject, because it is almost impossible

to discuss French rearmament without comparing it to what was happening in Germany at the

same time and the results of France's war effort in later years.

In the comparison to Germany, French efforts seem small, almost quaint before 1938.
