Now what is the significance of all of this? Well, let's just think it through for a moment.

There is one God, that one God has given witness to you. That's two. He witnesses of the father

of the son and the Holy Spirit. That's three. This witness is to be given to all the world. That's four. He will complete what he has begun. That is five and ten.

Man is a failure. That is six. God demands perfection. That is seven. Eight says you can be born again.

All of nature is built on numbers. God's mathematical precision is evident in our studies of chemistry, biology, zoology, and astronomy.

If we look closely, we can see the symbolic meaning and spiritual messages tied into scripture through numbers.

In part one of today's message, we began to decipher what the number seven means in the book of Revelation.

If you have your Bible, turn out a Revelation chapter one, we'll begin in verse 12, as Adrian Rogers shares part two of 666, verses 777.

Now, I want you to understand that in the Bible you have both the science and the symbolism of numbers.

Now, God is a God of order and design, and you see that in all of creation and numbers and numerical law is written into the universe.

God does nothing by accident, and Aristotle said number is the principle of all things.

And so you need to be good in mathematics, really, to understand God's universe.

But there's more than a science of numbers. There is a symbolism of numbers in the Bible.

To the Jews, numbers had spiritual significance, and this study of the spiritual significance of numbers is called Gematria.

And the use of numbers in the Bible and the consistency of that is one of the amazing confirmations of inspiration.

Now, let's think for a moment about some of the meaning of numbers.

It'll help the Bible to become more clear to you.

For example, start with a primary number of one.

That speaks of the primacy, the unity of all mighty God.

So one is the number of unity.

Two in the Bible is the number of witness.
