I'm your host Allie Feller and this episode is part of the year-long Run Your Way series.

The premise? It's super simple. We hear from interesting runners who have chosen to pursue

running in ways that work for them. Sometimes that means hearing from the pros who are all in

smashing 100 mile weeks and running marathons at the highest level. Other times it's the runners

who are working full-time, even working multiple jobs, and managing loads of additional

responsibilities while still making time to pursue their passions. And other times, like today,

it's both. My guest today is professional runner and full-time teacher Susanna Sullivan.

Susanna teaches sixth grade math in Virginia and runs 100 mile weeks. She's a 224 marathoner

and she is about to hop on a flight to Budapest to represent Team USA at the World Athletics

Championships marathon alongside her teammates, Kira DiMotto, and Lindsey Flanagan.

I was super excited to get to know Susanna better as she gets ready to compete on the world's

largest fastest stage or looped course. Not a stage, but still a fast looped course.

And of course, I had to ask the questions that everyone asks Susanna. How in the world do you

teach full-time and give so much and train the way that you're training? Just recently,

Susanna signed her first professional contract with Brooks, so she had a lot to share.
