Yeah, welcome, guys. Good to have your ears again. Oh mate, hasn't January felt like

the longest month in the whole world. For those especially to get paid monthly, you may be

fortunate to have had your pay before Christmas. I know Baitworks we do. We pay our staff before the normal pay date in December,

which obviously helps with those Christmas bills. But that means it prolongs that January window

to when you get paid again. It just, I don't know, January feels like a slog. It is. No,

it is after a little mouse show, isn't it, with Christmas and New Year. But it's a funny old month, but to tell you, it can be, I don't know about you, Mike,

for cart fishing, but some big fish get caught in January.

I always know it's that around January.

Like the lake world are only one or two bites, but some big fish get caught.

Yeah, why do you think that is?

It's hard to put your finger on it, but yeah, some of those big old females on that,

they do make an appearance.

I've noticed that over the years for, not just waters around locally wild fish,

but all around the country as well. It does some odd fish.

And let's face it, the weather we've had really up until Christmas has been nothing short of mild and wet, hasn't it?

So fish have caught all over the shop anyway. We've had a couple of little cold spells, but they're not really, you know, not in lockdown, freezing cold weather.

We've had the lakes froze maybe for a day or two and then suddenly we got like 11, 12 degrees coming off the back of it.

It was the most bizarre selection of weather fronts, wasn't it?

Like the ice on some of the lakes was four or five inches thick.
