Hello, usual disclaimer podcast listeners. How are you beautiful bunch? It's just Eleanor

0:11.7

popping in to let you know that there's not actually going to be a brand new episode this week.

0:15.8

But of course, I'm not going to leave you with nothing. So here's a case that we've pulled from

0:20.0

the archive to put you on until I'm back.

This is a case that I first covered on YouTube back in 2020, the story of Shirley Leach, an elderly woman whose body was found brutalized in the stall of a bus station public toilet.

This case has really, really stuck with me since I first recorded it. Partly because it's

0:38.5

pretty close to home in the literal sense, this case comes out of Manchester in the north of

0:43.7

England, not too far from where I grew up. But the thing that gets me the most about this one is how

1:29.6

This video is for educational purposes and everything I'm about to say is just information that I have found on the internet and I'm compiling into one video.

1:38.3

1:47.0

A local couple were just coming home from a night out. It was around 4 a.m. at this point

1:52.0

and they decided to stop off at Berry Interchange, which was the town's bus station and used the toilets,

1:58.0

since they were the only public toilets that were really open at that time.

2:01.3

So the man went into the men's toilets and the woman went into the woman's toilets and

2:06.3

when she walked in there was only one cubicle available because they block off all the others
