podcast. Hey, thank you so much, Sean. Super excited. So when did you know you were an entrepreneur

as opposed to an employee? I figured that out when I was 14 and I saw my dad pass up on the opportunity to open a

business with his friend. He decided to stay blue collar, stay at AT&T. They transferred him from

Arizona to North Carolina. And, you know, we ended up moving in a trailer park. I don't know what

a trailer park was back then. And he struggled having to work two jobs. My mom having to work third shift rather than take a chance. And he did that for the safety, you know, to play it safe and not, you know, to play to not lose. And I had two siblings with asthma. So he wanted to make sure he kept his benefits, kept his 401K, kept that blue collar job, nothing wrong with that, but I watched him struggle. And so I told myself, if the unicorn comes by, I'm getting on that unicorn. And as I got into the business world, I was really great at sales and motivating team members and training and coaching people. So I decided when I wasn't getting promoted in certain jobs in an industry, I was at a company called Bell Atlantic previously. It was called Bell Atlantic. Yeah, that was C&P Telephone. It was a long video. Right. It was all those. So I was in there early and was one of their top salespeople, but they wouldn't promote me because of my age, lack of education, even though I was doing the job to the best of my, I mean, blowing everybody out. And that's when I decided, you know what, I have to control my own destiny.

I don't want to be handcuffed by, you know, limited income, limited opportunity.

And so I started my first business.

That's it.

Once you get a taste typically that, okay, because you get it, and it happens in a lot of of different ways number one is you wake up or you look around and it's a wake up you're better than everybody you work for correct correct that's how it is yeah or b you realize you are the biggest money generator so whatever it is that okay okay my boss is a pretty sharp guy, but I'm the one moving

the money needle here at sales.

Whoever is doing the sales runs the show is the most valuable person on the playing field.

I mean, it is the quarterback of a business.

Yeah, it's the player on the team.

And it's, you know, I always look at it at it is you know people take jobs for three reasons

one you know they want to see the career path and the growth right some people like atta boys

and awards i'm one of them i want to be number one when that's blocked that hurts two money when

money's capped that hurts and three is culture right and so you know you either want to build your own

rocket ship and bring people along for the ride or either want to build your own rocket ship and bring

people along for the ride or you want to get on a rocket ship that has unlimited potential.
