Fresh off her seventh 100-miler finish — and second finish at the Hardrock 100 — Emily Halnon returns to the Ali on the Run Show for the sixth time. In this conversation, Emily talks about getting a call 19 hours before the race start saying she'd gotten off the waitlist. Should she want it, a bib for the esteemed 102.5-mile race in Colorado was hers. She wanted it. So, she wrangled her crew (and an extra pair of socks), and went on to finish this year's race nearly two hours faster than in 2022. She finished in 36 hours and 47 minutes — the ninth woman and 33rd finisher overall. Today, we get to hear all about it, including why this race means so much to Emily, what it's like racing alongside Courtney Dauwalter, and what happened when Emily hit her lowest point of the race. Plus, all about her forthcoming book, which she finished and submitted to her publisher the day before lining up at the Hardrock start line.

0:44.7	She got the call saying she had gotten off the wait list and that she had an entry to
0:49.7	the Hard Rock 100, the famous and esteemed 102.5 mile race in Colorado.
0:56.5	So she got the call saying she was off the wait list, had an entry, did she want it?
1:01.3	Did she want it?
1:02.3	You bet she did.
1:03.8	Even though the race, again that's 100 plus miles, it was set to start in just 19 hours.
1:10.2	So again she gets the call to run a 100 mileer, 19 hours before it starts.
1:15.3	And in typical Emily fashion, she made it happen and she didn't just run the race.
1:20.2	She didn't just finish the race.
1:22.3	She ran it nearly two hours faster than she had run it the previous year, finishing
1:27.2	in 36 hours and 47 minutes.
