Welcome to the Alley on the Run Show. I'm your host Alley Feller and it's just us today.

Me and my microphone and you. So thank you for being here. I know the last time I did a solo

episode it was kind of a lot right? Yeah that was kind of a big one and today I wanted to check back

in because when you're hearing this I will be days or hours away from heading into surgery to

deal with all the stuff. We're going to unpack the fact that I cannot quite bring myself to say

what I should say which is I will be going into surgery having a double mastectomy because I

have breast cancer. Those words I mean I really do in addition to lump elsewhere. I get a big lump

in my throat when I try to say that and yeah you know I got to be able to laugh about some of this

and make jokes. So lump's in my throat, lump's in my boobs. Ha ha ha. No, none of it's funny but

I'm here today to talk through some of it. Thought I would just give you a little update on the

latest since I last checked in. Kind of share some of what I'm feeling, what's on my mind.

And talk about what I think is next for the Alley on the Run Show as I am in surgery and recovering

and then going through whatever comes next. I don't yet really know what that is. I know chemotherapy

is a part of it and beyond that I have more questions than answers. So we're going to catch up

a little bit today. Before we get into it gosh there are so many people and partners and brands

for me to thank. Today specifically I would like to thank new balance for being a long time supporter

of the Alley on the Run Show and of course a good friend to me, a good partner to have. My gosh I

have had. I know I'm very lucky to say this but I have had many many many new balance boxes

showing up at the front step. So I don't know how much I'm going to be running in these next few

weeks and months but I know that when I am I will be well outfitted and my feet will be well

taking care of in part because my favorite shoe officially has an upgrade that you can get your

hands on. I know we've been teasing it for a while but officially the new balance fuel cell
