Today's mailbag comes to us from Katie. We have had the kids program for a long time now.

You know that you have had the kids program. The first night of spring break, your daughter goes

through all of her clothes and makes a giveaway pile. And your youngest son, who can't quite go through

all of his clothes by himself yet, mostly because his closet rack is way too high, then asked to go through all of his clothes by himself yet, mostly because his closet rack is way too high, then asked

to go through all of his clothes on the first day of spring break.

Also, I am not totally recommending that everyone sort Legos.

We have a lot of Legos here.

My middle son is 11.

They are by far his favorite type of toy, so we sort his Legos. But we did not start out that way. The pile became too overwhelmingly large. Anyway, my middle son now has two different types of Legos, regular Legos and Lego Spike Prime Legos. So a month ago, I asked to clean up his Lego Spike Prime Legos.

They were on the floor.

He started to clean them up.

Then, on his own, without me telling him to or asking, he dumped out the entire container on the floor.

He said, I really should organize these.

It took him at least 20 minutes, but he organized

them and put them all away. This particular kid is least naturally organized, but organization

is a learnable skill and he has learned it. And trust me, when I say he did not learn it from me,

because I am not naturally an organized person, which is why I am here.
